Capture anything.

What it does
One job, finished
01
Capture from a hotkey
Area, window, or full screen. The loupe zooms 8× to the pixel while you drag, and window capture highlights before you click.
02
Record and trim
H.264 with system audio and mic on its own track. Trim losslessly in the filmstrip, or export a GIF sized for Slack.
03
Annotate in one click
Arrows, text, blur, crop, and step numbers. Every capture opens ready to mark up.
04
Copy text from any shot
On-device OCR reads every line in a capture. One click puts it on the clipboard.
05
Pin shots to the screen
Captures float in the corner and follow your cursor across displays. Drag one out to drop a real PNG.
06
Ask Claude
Runs on Claude. Describe a capture, explain an error, or draft a bug report straight from the image. Your API key stays in the macOS Keychain.
Trust
Signed and notarized
Every release is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. It opens with no Gatekeeper warning.
Privacy
Nothing leaves your Mac
KhingShot collects no data. No account, no analytics, no servers. Captures stay in a folder you choose, OCR runs on-device, and Ask Claude sends an image only when you ask it to. macOS prompts once, for Screen & System Audio Recording, on your first capture.
Updates
Updates arrive in the app
KhingShot checks once a day in the background. One click installs the new version.
